Power Outage @ Osney 12pm Friday 15th – 12pm Monday 18th May

We have been informed that there will be a scheduled power outage at the Osney building this coming weekend. As a result, we will be shutting down all hardware, servers and services that are running exclusively from Osney from 12pm on Friday 15th May until 12pm Monday 18th May.

N.B. SOLO and Aleph will not be affected, although some resources that are accessible through SOLO may be offline.

Please also note that new and updated University Cards from Friday 15th May onwards may not get transferred to Aleph, and therefore may not be active on Aleph, SOLO, the Bodleian Wireless network and Reader workstation PC’s until Monday 18th.

Below is a brief list of services that we know will be affected for the duration of the outage. This is by no means extensive:

  • PURL service (some links from SOLO out to other resources may fail)
  • Digitized books from the Oxford Google Books Project
  • Maps and Music digitized card catalogues
  • ORA
  • Estates Fault Reporting
  • Imaging Services
  • BEAM
  • Electronic Enlightenment
  • SunRays will be offline
  • BDLSS Blogs
  • Whats The Score
  • Serica (Early Chinese Books)

We apologise for any inconvenience.
